Colourful Elepahnt Baby Mobiles

Elephant mobiles were my first ever mobile design - way back in 2012 ish!

During this time, I've sewn them in all sorts of colour combinations. Some seem perpetually popular - yellow, white and grey, especially with some clouds too, whereas other combinations come and go.

Recently I've had some requests for some brighter combinations, so here are some photos...

A-Z of name banners - part 2

It's been a hard decision choosing banners to put into this A-Z of names. Ideally, they'd all begin with the right letter, and so would the name (e.g Hearts & Henrietta which was one of todays posts). Sadly most of them don't conform to this, so I've usually picked one of each to show off.

Here are my recent ones:

Cole & Clouds = yay! Double 'C'

And then Connie with some awesome lions!

Daniel & Dinosaurs = Double 'D' - win again!

And another cool Connie, with 2 different dogs.

Emilia & Elephants! = Double 'E'

Emilia is such a beautiful name, and quite popular at the moment it seems - I've sewn 5 of these banners, all in different colours, in the last year.

Faiz with 2 different animals. Because why not?

And Alfie and Foxes. It doesn't begin with F but does have an F nicely placed in the middle!

G is for Gael, and Giraffes. Sadly not in the same banner, but they still both look beautiful!

H for Hannes and Hearts - again not in the same banner, until I got the order last week for Henrietta with Hearts - which fitted in perfectly instead!!

More to follow, we're only on H! Watch this space!

Custom Mobile Orders

I love when customers come and know exactly what they would like, and I am able to make it for them! Its great when they have such strong ideas about what they would like, and even better when I am able to make it for them, and see their excitement when they get it.

I've had a few great custom orders recently! Here are some photos of them:

This lady wanted one of my circus themed mobiles, with the bunting round the top, in a very beautiful mix of pasetel colours, and with a unicorn, a dog, an owl, a bunny, an elephant and a penguin! So cute!

This lovely customer again knew exactly what they wanted - birds native to Cyprus, a sun, moon, stars and rainbows. It was very fun to create some new birds and I especially love how the Kingfisher turned out!

I'm always happy to make new custom mobiles, so if there is ever anything you think of that you'd like made into a mobile, please do let me know!

More Felt Name Banners

I have taken my new felt name banners to a couple of markets so far, and have been overwhelmed by the amount of positive feedback for them. As such, I have had quite a few orders already!

Here are some photos:

New Mobile Designs

I'm not entirely sure what it is, maybe because it's still so cold, so I've been cooped up in the cosy indoors, but I seem to have a never ending stream of new mobile ideas in my head, that I am just bursting to get making! Here are a few recent ones....

Felt Name Banners

I've had the idea for a while to make felt name banners, using some of the felt animals from my baby mobiles, but with a hand stitched felt name in the middle, so they are very personalised.

I started with the elephants, as these are the ones I make most for my mobiles, and then went on to try some of my other favourite mobile shapes.....

I obviously had to make an Amy one first, so it goes with my stall!

Felt Elephant Cushions

To match with my fun felt baby mobiles (and conveniently in time for Christmas present shopping time) my felt elephant cushions are back!! Here are some photos...

Mass Mobile Making!

As it's half term, so I have lots of time, and I've been selling lots of mobiles lately so am running very low on stock of them, I have spent the last few days doing some mass mobile making!

Some are repeats of ones I have recently sold, which were very popular, and some are new designs. There are millions of different colour schemes I could go for so I enjoy coming up with new combinations! I also have to sometimes force myself to make mobiles in combinations I am not so keen on, and remind myself that not everyone has the same taste as me and so someone else is bound to love it!!

AXA Car Insurance Advert - Pink Baby Mobile

I was very excited to see one of my mobiles on TV!!! Back in May, I made a very special pink African animal felt baby mobile to be featured in the new AXA TV advert.

Here are some images:

It is so lovely to see it in use and on TV! Until recently, I'd only made my African mobiles in more traditional colours, so an orange giraffe, yellow lion and grey elephant, but I guess if my elephants can be all different colours then there is no reason why the other animals can't be too!

All of my mobiles can be custom made to order, and can be found here: www.fairlyamy.co.uk
