New Name Banner Designs

I love sewing name banners, and often let customers look through previous example photos, and they'll spot the perfect one for them, but still regularly have requests for new designs, which I love, and they can be so much fun!

Here are some examples of ones I've sewn recently....

Koalas

Sheep

Llamas & Pompoms!

Fire Trucks

Hedgehogs & Owls

Frogs on Lily Pads!

New Name Banners

I've been sewing name banners for a good few years now, and so get lots of repeat design orders - mint and grey elephants being the most popular - so it's very exciting when I get a new design request.

I especially love when a customer knows exactly what they'd like! Here are some examples of some recent new designs....

Embroidered Llamas & Pom poms

Guinea Pigs

Embroidered Llama & Cactus

UFO & Planet

Hedgehogs & Owls

Happy Birthday Banners

Alongside all my personalised felt name banners, I also make Happy Birthday banners (and Christmas ones too - but it's too early for that yet!!). I love the idea of having a long lasting, reusable banner that can come out again and again for everyone's birthday, and replaces all the terrible single use banners you find in party shops.

The original one I made was in yellow and grey (surprise surprise), but I've since made a range of custom ones to suit other people's tastes too!

Here are some photos...

Which is your favourite? And which colours should I make next??

A-Z of Names...

I've made so many names over the last few years, that I've decided to do an A-Z of name banners, to show of a selection of some of them.

Here are my first few....

Alice in Wonderland for an Alice - so fun and appropriate

Pink letters and white clouds is one of my most popular name banner combinations!

Because I make all my names from scratch, it doesn't matter how it's spelt - I'll make anything!

Cute boats with a life ring for B

*New Mobile Design* Transport Felt Baby Mobile

Again, another felt baby mobile that I've had in my mind to make for ages, especially since I made some cute felt name banners, one with a tug boat and the other with a tractor.

Although I try and keep a lot of my mobiles very neutral, I do have more girly options than boy options, and I like to keep it fair, so I thought I would make a transport mobile.

Here are some photos....what do you think??

I am very pleased with it! One part of it I think looked particularly fabulous in felt, so I have made one with just those....watch this space for more details of that one to come!

Under The Sea Mobile

I love coming up with new mobile ideas. I love making all of my regular ones, but like to keep adding to the collection with new and different ideas. I usually have the idea in my head for a while before actually getting round to making it, usually sketching my ideas, and then changing my mind, until I come up with the right design.

One of my latest ones, which as usual, I've had in my head for a while, since I was asked to make a whale name banner, was an under the sea mobile.

I ended up having a whale, a shark, an octopus, a starfish, and then added a little fish from my penguin mobile, and some coral to complete the scene.

I am VERY pleased with how it's turned out....see what you think....

Felt Animals for Boden & The RNLI

At the end of last year I was asked to make some felt animals for the new Boden & The RNLI collection.

They sent me some photos of some of the animals and asked if I could make them into flat soft toys. I love working in felt and I love a challenge, so this was very exciting to work on.

Here are some photos of the finished animals....

Oh, and I also made a floral fabric dog which is currently hanging out in their shop!

Penguins!

I love being asked to make custom mobiles and name banners - particularly when it involves an animal that I particularly love!

So I was especially excited to be asked to make a penguin felt name banner, for a lovely customer in Australia.

Here is a photo:

How cute are these!?!? I love them!

So here is a photo of the finished name banner, now safely in a nursery down under.

Then, I was at a market last week, and was asked if I could make a penguin name banner, and as soon as I showed them a photo of the one above, they were so excited, and ordered one straight away!

Then I thought, these penguins are too cute just to be for name banners, and so I added some fish, and an iceberg and the sun, and turned it into a mobile!

Scandi Cool - Mountains & Bears New Mobile Design

It's been a while since I've come up with a new mobile design....well a few weeks anyway since the llamas and I was asked to make another fabulous idea for a mobile...a very cool mountains, trees and bears mobile!

Here are some photos!

Animal Felt Name Banners

I love the challenge of being asked to make new things, and so have said with my felt name banners, that I can make them with any animal, not just the ones I currently use in my mobiles.

So I was very excited to be asked to make 7 name banners, all with different animals. Here are some photos....
